Beercast #8 – Capital, Dainton, BentSpoke

This week we review and chat about beers from Capital, Dainton and Bentspoke brewing. it was our first podcast without someone having an IPA and they were all absolute curve balls. Simmo is still trying to keep the GABS dream alive reviewing his 2/8 beers from the GABS pack (available at your local Dan Murphy’s), Huddo felt like a beer but also pizza and Gratz just can’t get enough blood orange.

Grattsy gets into the Dainton Hopf’n Juicy Blood Orange Hoppy Weiss.

Soft, pillowy, hazy and juicy, this is our take on the classic Hefeweizen style. Brewed with a traditional German Liquid yeast strain, it has a beautiful balance of ripe banana, spicy clove and a hint of zingy fresh blood orange that only Dainton can deliver. Perfect for those sunny Autumn days and crisp Autumn nights. PROST!

Hudo goes for a bit of a weird one with the BentSpoke Brewing Regina Pizza Fermented Beer.

A Pale Ale fermented beer with Italian & Sons pizza dough starter and a touch of oregano, which is added late into the brew to create a clean and slightly herbal pale ale with a nice dry finish. Perfect to accompany a slice of pizza.

Simmo continues his GABS journey with the Capital Brewing Smooches Chocolate & Strawberry Champagne Ale.

Like a sexy night at the hotel. Heaps of chocolate from cocao nibs and a big strawberry kick to give you that familiar sexy treat. Fermented with champagne yeast, pale in colour and extra spritzy. Sex in your mouth.
