Beercast

Here it is! Our gift to you. Well… More so a gift to ourselves. For a special treat this holiday season, Simmo, Hudo and Gratzy staged an epic Border Barrels Xmas party. A long-form POD filled with any topic that took our fancy in the moment, held together by our love of great beers.

It’s The Thirsty Devil Brewery launch week and we couldn’t be more excited! Well… A couple of us at least. Simmo was rude enough to attend a friends wedding instead.

After a 5 week hiatus the tripod was finally whole again. Gratz returned to the desk with a Badlands limited release, while Simmo and Hud brought their A game with 2 MASSIVE beers that ensured chaos reigned supreme.

Huddo and Simmo sit down with Ryan LIVE @ The Goods Shed, Wodonga. We talked footy, beers and Ryan’s craft beer journey. If you’re not into craft beer and don’t know where to start, come down to The Goods Shed and ask for Ryan.

This week on the Beercast, we sample some dark beauties from Deeds and Bright Brewery. We also delve into the price of maple syrup per kg and an old friend phones in with an absolute belter of a question.

Huddo and Simmo were back in the not so good shed for some more beers and beer related news. Absent: Gratzy

Twas only two outta three present for the latest beercast in the not so good shed. Simmo was fresh, back from Bridge Road Brewery pushing a wild conspiracy around the true ABV of New Sky Volume 1. Hudo was his charming self. Beers were drank, laughs were had.

This week on the Beercast, the boys run through their beers of the week. Simmo finally finishes his GABS journey, Zach overcomes his fear and goes back to and old favourite and Huddo drinks a beer which may cause him to be missing and presumed drunk.

The boys sample a few beers, go through the news and shit talk until we hit stop. Huddo samples possibly the best sounding sour we’ve ever heard, Gratzy takes it easy due to the impending birth of his second child and Simmo tunes his metaphorical bass guitar all the way down to B to get through all 100 of the IBU’s in his beer, another GABS special.

We’re back in the not so Goods Shed for another beercast. Huddo and Simmo explore more finds from the GABS festival while Gratzy drinks one from an old favourite. We also cover some news from one of Albury’s new brewery, The Thirsty Devil.

All three of the lads are back in the not so good shed to review a few beers and talk about the good old days.

Simmo and Gratzy review their beers for the week. Simmo does some research on the fly and Gratzy brings two beer news articles hot off the press.

This is TAKE TWO of a momentous Beercast episode. We cover some beers from our friendly neighbours in NZ as well as a semi local favourite from the big smoke up in Sydney. We also FINALLY had someone call in with a listener question, which was more than a bit of fun.

This week we review and chat about beers from Capital, Dainton and Bentspoke brewing. It was our first podcast without someone having an IPA and they were all absolute curve balls. Simmo is still trying to keep the GABS dream alive reviewing his 2/8 beers from the GABS pack (available at your local Dan Murphy’s)

The lads from Border Barrels are back in the ‘Not So Good Shed’ for another Beercast. This week we had beers from Banks, One Drop and Hudo continues his streak of Mountain Culture which nobody was mad about.

Zach, Simmo and Huddo do a recap of their first GABS experience. We cover the festival itself, our favourite beers and elude to a few cheeky stories that will stay at GABS as they would in Vegas. Bon Appedank.

In this weeks episode, would you believe it we had a couple of beers. We sampled some Mountain Culture and Gratz and Sime turned up wearing (drinking) the same beer. Sime made an accusation very early in the pod that Zach was pissed, which he denied.

Back again for another quick check in. On this particular night we sampled beers from Revel, Blackmans and Mitta Mitta brewing.
