Beercast #52 – Dainton Beer Showcase
How did it take us this long?
One of Australia’s favourite independent breweries finally gets their Border Barrels Showcase episode, as 3 limited release beers from Victorian stalwarts Dainton Beer are sampled on this week’s episode.
A GABS exclusive Choc Berry nitro sour kicks off proceedings.
What follows are two absolute crackers, confirmed by our collective Untappd ratings.
A collaborative anniversary 10 Hop NEIPA with New Zealand’s Bohemeth (Chur), and a rare (for us) black IPA, which is a roasty boy of epic proportions.
Also included: Your usual shit banter and slightly interesting information on any topic the beer steers us in.
Example: Does love making require mouthguards? You’d be happy to know we don’t go into any detail on this particular question.
Thanks to Dainton for a dynamic trio of brews, and The Lane Cellars for once again supplying the goods.
Choc Berry Bomb Nitro Berliner Weisse
Get ready to experience a Berliner Weisse like never before!
A sour beer bursting with the sweet and tangy flavors of dark berries, complemented perfectly with hints of decadent chocolate.
Served on nitro, it’s the ultimate refreshing sipper with a luxuriously creamy texture.

Hold on to your helmets, hop lovers!
Dainton and Behemoth are celebrating ten years of boundary-pushing brewing by loading ten different hops into an other-worldly ten-percent NEIPA.

Blackwork Double Black IPA
Dark times call for dark imagery and even darker beers.
Behold Blackwork, a melding of bad-ass brewing and sinister sketching from @addiktedtoinkfrankston!
