Beercast #30 – Lost Palms Brewing Co Showcase
We like to think we’re a professional, well organised trio. This week’s Brewery Showcase doesn’t necessarily change that, but there are more twists, turns and genuine LOL’s than we ever could have expected.
It’s Gratzy’s turn to supply the beers, but through coincidence (or telepathy) Hudo inevitably brings extras as we dive DEEP into an unprecedented FIVE limited release brews from Queensland’s Lost Palms Brewing Co. In other words, WILDCARD BITCHES.
IPAs, Sours and the very first Flemish Red Ale greet our taste buds this week. The crew from Miami floor us with some of the most unique beers ever sampled on the POD.
Thanks to Lost Palms for an extraordinary afternoon and My Beer Dealer for being our beer dealer. We certainly lost our Palm Trees at times during a chaotic, hop filled hour.
Magnets – Cashmere, Idaho & El Dorado IPA
Not just your favourite hobby anymore (insert clever It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia reference here) Magnets offer up a tropical breakfast juice aesthetic with notes of Mandarin & Lime. Pairs well with a side of Jelly Beans…. Raw.

Quick Thinking – Cascade, Citra & Riwaka IPA
Think Quick & Drink Slow with this 6.7% IPA. Imparting strong Orange, Passionfruit & Citrus notes which is both incredibly soft but hop forward.

Tallebudgera Nights – Fruited Sour Ale
A clever play on words – this beer is going to come at you like a Spider Monkey. Tart & bright Kiwi notes are backed up by smooth Mango, soft Lychee & Feijoa notes.

Rouge Awakening – Flemish Style Red Sour Ale. Lost Palms Brewing x Ventura Brewing Collaboration
A malt heavy sour blended with local legends Ventura Brewing’s Kombucha, Rouge Awakening is a twist on the classic Flanders Red Ale.
We blended the Kombucha to give the notable acetic character the style is known for. A heavy backbone of rich Crystal malts and Munich give a balancing sweetness. Dark fruits add character and depth to the acidity.

Turnstiles – Quad Blueberry Pancakes Sour Ale
Our Fourth adaptation of one of our most popular releases. Turnstiles offers heavy notes of Blueberry with subtle notes of both caramelised sugar & vanilla frosting. A hefty, succulent release.
